Ruby Studio is an ecological garden design practice founded by Kaylie Dascanio, a landscape designer, certified naturalist, and landscape architecture graduate of Cal Poly Pomona, based in Los Angeles.

Kaylie grew up surrounding herself with the natural world as much as she could, drawing, listening, watching whatever was growing there. She approaches every project as a student of the land first, always learning from the ecology, the seasons, and the plants that have always belonged to a place.

That same attentiveness carries into how she works with clients. Getting to know the people behind a project is just as important as understanding the land itself. Every garden Ruby Studio designs is the result of close collaboration, shaped around the way a client actually lives, what they find beautiful, and what they want to feel when they step outside. The result is never generic. It is specific, ecological, and distinctly theirs.

Ruby Studio's work draws from the ecology of Southern California: its native plant communities, its essential pollinators, its soil. Gardens that feel authentic to the people they belong to and good for the land they are on.
